Gun Club Cheque....er - Check.

Gun Club Check is a multi-colored micro checked pattern. It's sort of a neologism, even if it has been in existence for some time. It has recently become more popular, thanks to the infamous "iGent." (It was tough to type that word.)

More importantly - it's bold without being outlandish, colorful without being comical, and the tones of the check itself often pick up hints colors of your tie or trousers. Look up some photos and you'll be instantly inspired.

This sport coat is older, but not Vintage.* It's probably 80's-90's era, made by "Tessuto Italiano" for Bergdorf Goodman. It's Made in Spain and reminds me throughout of something by Ermenegildo Zegna. The quality is there: the wool is a crisp 3-season weight and the jacket has canvassed construction. Take a look at the colors, truly enjoyed in person. Tagged a size 36 S, but since it's here you know that means that it actually measures a 38 S. BID on it here!

As always, keep an eye on this spot...so much more to come.

*80's and 90's are not "Vintage," please stop referring to this period as such.

Harris Tweed, 3 Ways!

Harris Tweed - the fabric synonymous with UK countrywear and Collegiate styling has seen a recent resurgence. What's not to love about Harris Tweed? It's still handwoven on the Outer Hebrides, an island chain off the coast of Scotland. You can spend lots of time searching for some great photos of Harris Tweed production - let's see some jackets!

First up is something out of my dreams, a 60's-era Ivy-styled Harris Tweed. The golden brown background anchors a micro-check pattern of a variety of colors that truly needs to be enjoyed in person! The jacket is a superb cut with all of the essential details - 3/2 roll front, undarted "sack," and rear hook vent. Ready to wear - size 38 Short. Buy it here!

Next up is a mind-blowing offering: a Harris Tweed in a 36 Regular. I apologize, but too many sellers list mis-measured 38's as 36's, so this is extra special! This isn't your average light gray herringbone tweed. Take a look at that windowpane overcheck and multi-colored fleck patterns. Herein lies the difference with Harris Tweed: the subtleties only found in a handwoven fabric. Bid on it here!

Finally is proof that straightforward styling is never boring when it's Harris Tweed. (No, I'm not getting paid off, I just love the fabric!) This 2-button sport coat is a dark gray herringbone. Woven into the gray however, are dark blue and yellow (!) threads. This creates an incredible visual texture which seems to come to life in the light. A 40 Regular, Bid on it here!

There's so much more to come - thanks for reading!

Hey you - READ THIS!

Gentlemen,

My name is Dan - I've been selling menswear for the past half a decade. My specialty is smaller sizes... why? I'm a small guy (36S) and nothing is more frustrating than finding something that doesn't fit like a potato sack. I also have a penchant for vintage menswear, the quality and attention-to-detail are truly lost artforms, at least on RTW garments.

Hey... don't stop reading! Though I love vintage clothing and smaller sizes, you'll find me selling a plethora of high-end menswear in every size under the cashmere rainbow. (Where's a tongue-sticking-out face on this thing?)

I'll be posting photos of items for sale and possibly my own clothing. Sometimes I may have a back story of a brand or menswear store, since it's a piece of history slowly being erased with no thanks to Casual Friday.

What you won't find here are pound signs, unspaced words, and pictures of food: sorry internet.

I'm sure that you want to buy something, or at least have a look at what I've got listed. Go ahead:
